Ron H
I doubt this thread will survive for much longer. Shame that Drum Corps Planet is so afraid of copyright issues and will likely close this thread. DCP doesn't even seem to want to look at the "Fair Use" protection clauses that covers these videos. Therefore...Copy and paste to your heart's content! Edited July 17, 2012 by Ron H

Therefore...Copy and paste to your heart's content! You might want to check out the update to the official DCP policy on YouTube videos. They changed it substantially earlier this year, and pinned the post in both the DCI and DCA forums.
camel lips
What a great thread and thank you DCP for allowing the posting of these. Watched all the videos. Pretty much agree with scores at this point and time based on what I have seen today and heard from reliable sources. Might move Hurricanes above Cabs at this point but its close. My thoughts are these. Cabs and Empire are going to be my favorite shows so far this season. Bucs are going to be hard to beat. They have a lot going on there. Cadets2 have a great visual program and its clear that fundamentals are being taught and applied. Guard is by far the weak link but I feel someone will fix that at Cadets2. I look for them to be in the 4th or 5th rung by championships. Cabs need to work on uniform body control throughout the line. They do not look as tall and athletic compared to the other corps and several of the members appear to be struggling to keep body square and shoulders facing sideline. Fundamentals appear to be taught but not necessarily applied. Cabs have improved but so has everyone else. Cadets2 and or Scouts could move them down the ladder. Time will tell. Hurricanes programming has never been one of my favorites but I found myself digging this show. They seem to move around a lot more and more aggressively than Cabs. Book is harder in my opinion but obtainable.

When you look at the other corps and then Cabs, you can really see the benefits of a properly designed uniform that hides a lot of what you pulled out. Funny thing about their book this year... I do see many people saying that it's not the most difficult, but last year and in 2010 when the Cabs had one of the hardest book in all of DCA and just about the whole show was seemingly over 180bpm, no one ever said anything. Weaklefthand4ever
I would LOVE to see some vids from Sounds of the South. Especially since it was first read for so many corps.
