Im 16 in about 2 or 3 years i wanna go div1 probably crossmen. what do i need to know because whenever i look at vic firth theres rudiments but im not sure if i need to know all of that. what do i need to know and work on? Contact the corps and find out exactly what they will be looking for. 4. PRACTICE And if you plan on marching a top 15 line, yes you will need to know ALL of the Rudis. ClearingHouse Posted July 18, 2003 Share Posted July 18, 2003 Green Tenor Man is right on. Know ALL the rudiments (old AND new school) -- AND be able to move them around the drums. Also, be sure to work on two-hand, and sometimes even multiple-limb independence (chances are good that at some point you will find yourself playing on a kit, using three or more mallets, or other fun things that tenor lines get to do).
