It's incredible that Dave Glyde never gets mentioned in the same breath as these other guys.

I do tend to forget about him. Probably just because the other names are such big names, with such high exposure, that sometimes we forget about other people on the staffs.

John's still young...he aged out in 89, and since age out was 21 at that time, that puts him in the mid 40's (####....I remember him as a wee one in the B corps!). He's got years and years to go.

Thanks Sam. That's good to know that someone will be around for a long time with BD, even when the rest of them retire. Because I know Jay Murphy is getting up there in years, so someone will have to take over the drill writing gig.

Jaime Holly does quite a lot of the drill writing work currently - the foot soldier for Murphy's designs.

I have heard that Troopers is the Mason group's next stop after Madison, so it could make sense.

I'm hearing that Mason is pretty much happy with Madison for a while, being a Scout Alum and digging the memories and the traditions with the guys there.

That wasn't a rumor about Hickman. I wonder who will take over officially for 2013.

If there is anything to take over next year from Hickaman......

Cite your sources, folks. Not that you're spinning yarns, but what makes you say those things?

I think some people dont know what happened. Ive talked to people that were pretty big with the Glassmen back in the day and they know what the problems are now. I am not going to share anything until i know for sure so i dont get red flagged and messaged from people yelling at me.

I hope so. His drills are phenomenal, but it takes time to get them right, I think a second year would be great for Blue Stars!

Later,

Mike

I find his drill always too tight. The corps proper is always at 2's. I also find that there is too many follow the leader forms.

So AShy!!

I really appreciate his drills. They just don't always fit the corps (Madison Scouts). His Vanguard drills were gorgeous (especially '99 & '00) and I liked what he attempted with Phantom (the whole left to right field usage to mimic birth to death. I really enjoyed what he brought to Blue Stars, and hope he stays with them next year.

Later,

Mike

Well...I dont know where you're getting your information, but it's a horrible source and couldnt be further from the truth...That's unless you're just trying to start a rumor?
