Galen
We're about a week away from the start of our 20th season and I'm already excited for the prospects for this season. To start, here's a look at our major events: The opening events are just a few short days away. Western corps will be start the season in Rio Rancho NM and Mesa AZ before moving into California. Midwest corps will have a pair of events in Wisconsin (Menomonie and Middleton), southern corps will compete in Clearwater and Winter Park FL and eastern corps will have a double shift of events in Pennsylvania (Downingtown and Lewisburg). Week 3 will see the California tour conclude in Sacramento CA as well as 2 CLASS events in Montreal Quebec and Bowling Green KY. For the first time in several seasons, we will be having an event on the 4th of July, a special event in Boston MA both to commemorate our country's birthday as well as the victims of the Boston marathon bombings. gcurrier
excited to get the season going! The Knights had an unexpected issue starting the begining of the season when planned, so we will have a delayed start date of June 21st in Frostburg where we are excited to take on Eruption, Fallen Angels, Feenicks, M.I.B. and Quilt. The Knight sword will be on hand but wont be up for grabs for awhile.
Galen
For the 20th consecutive season, today marks the day that DCPI corps will take the field in competition. Welcome to the start of the season! Here's the scoop on today's events: A large last-minute registration surge greatly expanded the field of corps that will compete at Clearwater HS in Clearwater FL. Downingtown West HS in Downingtown PA will host several newcomers as well as a slate of veteran corps. Breitenbach Stadium in Middleton WI will be the battleground for an opening-night brawl between 3 major powerhouse corps, Crimson Lions, Quiksilver and Polaris Regiment. At Cleveland HS in Rio Rancho NM, it's the open-class contingent, led by Star of Hawaii, that represents the largest portion of the competitive field.

Tyler C.
It completely slipped my mind that we're starting this far ahead of the DCI season. Slight schedule adjustment coming...

So here are the results from tonight's competitions (slightly rounded). This was a night of successful debuts, welcome returns and a few surprises and upsets (check out that score from Middleton!) Tyler C.
Traded in two pre-June 22 shows in for more shows in the last week or so, so I'm satisfied. Both of my groups had successful debuts to DCP-I XX, and now we'll go back into hiding for all of next week. See everyone at the beach! TubaJon
BREATHE Dah! is very excited for all of our corps in this seasons debut! All corps were in Wisconsin for the show in Middleton. -Royal Sound made a strong appearance for their first season ever in open class! Some weird stuff happened in today's performance, but nothing to be too concerned about. -Blades of Blue also had a strong season opener taking 2nd in their class! -We would be lying if we were to say that we aren't pleased with Cincinnati Light Brigade's score... 75.41 right out of the gate! First in their class, and currently first overall! Not bad, but the hard work does not end there! It is gonna be a fun season!
