Wicked is terrible (as are most musicals). Les Mis is the exception to the rule. Vanguard got 5th in Visual Proficiency and 4th in Visual Analysis... Tommeee Posted July 12, 2013 Share Posted July 12, 2013 Some thoughts: 1. LOVE the Cadets ending. The loud part AND the soft part. 2. Crown has a great corps, and HORRIBLE uniforms. 3. The narration almost ruins Crown's show. 4. Blue Devils have a strange show, and I'm anxious to see it at the end of the year! 5. SCV is the only corps that doesn't have anything I don't like. 6. Phantom is SO classy, and much better than Chambersburg last Sunday. 7. Bluecoats = TUBAS!!!! 8. I like Cavies better this year than I did in some of their winning years. 9. I see Devils and Cadets with the most amount of upward potential from here. 10. I think Crown deserved to win by a sizable amount tonight. 11. The performance levels were not even close! BD is gaining points for scatter sets and continually rearranging props. Normally even if BD's show is a little "wtf" at least their performance quality is ridiculously high. Tonight we couldn't even say that. I think having a top corps going second messes up the scores and spreads. I might've put Cadets ahead of BD, but their spread is so close it doesn't matter. And anyone who thinks BD should be down with Phantom and Bluecoats tonight is crazy. BD might just have the hardest show of the year. Not my personal favorite, but these guys are ridiculously talented... But with that said Crown deserves the win and the spread.
