Chromecast, which is only 35 dollars, allows you to stream media from your phone, tablet or computer to your HDMI TV.

Currently, it allows you to stream Netflix, Youtube, Google Play and Chrome Browser tabs. You can load the FN up in chrome browser and stream it to your TV!

A new way to view your drumcorps from home.

Available at retailers, my local Best Buy has them.

Edit: Although, you better call in advance!

Yup, I ordered one within a couple of hours of the announcement and still haven't gotten even an estimate on a shipping date.

That said, I think this should make streaming DCI to our TVs in 2014 way easier for most people, assuming it works as advertised (always a tricky question).

I'll try mine out tonight. Gotta see how it handles full-screen.

Hope they look into making a Roku channel for the FN.. it's not that difficult.

Yeah. The FN is the first thing i thought of when I saw this on the news. I'm Reeeally interested to know how the quality of the Chrome browser stream is. If you have one, your impressions would be appreciated.

I tried getting the Internet Explorer on my Xbox 360 to stream, but it wouldn't work because the Xbox 360 version of IE does not include Flash player. Do we know whether Chromecast supports Flash?

Edit:

Duh.

What video formats work with casting a tab from Chrome?

Almost every video you can view in your Chrome browser should work, including Flash videos. Video formats that require a other plugins, such as Silverlight and Quicktime, may not work.
