Galen Posted October 21, 2013 Share Posted October 21, 2013 Proposal 1: New Off-season format Summary: Previously, scores for off-seasons were derived from the previous 3-4 DCI seasons. Starting with season 21, scores for winter seasons shall be derived from 1 year in each of 3 decades (ie 1990, 2000 and 2010) Rationale: Implementing this proposal will allow us to use historical score data that has never been used before, which would make off-season competition more difficult to predict and thus more exciting. Polling will close at 9 PM CST on Friday, October 25th. Exec Director’s note: If implemented, this change is contingent on being able to gather and convert ~25 years worth of data for several corps and will take a LONG time to put into effect. I would only need to have the first 3 seasons of data ready by the time next season starts but even that will be a significant project, and the more people who are able to help, the better.
