Today's events:

As the European tour moves to western England, Fleur de Lis will have to shake off some apparent jet lag to catch back up after getting trounced at last night's show in Aberdeen. Tonight's event at Select Security Stadium in Widnes (the site of this year's DCUK championships) will give them an opportunity to right the ship.

Back stateside, Stony Brook University's stadium on Long Island will be the host of the largest US-based event, as The Redcoats try to follow up their amazing win in Binghamton last night. But they'll face tough competition from The Knights, Scarlet Armada, Circle City Sound and several other corps.

Other US events include a show at Southridge HS in Beaverton OR and Reitz HS in Evansville IN

Just one event today at Woodbridge HS in Woodbridge NJ (the Kelso event was cancelled), which is in large part a rematch from last night's event in New York which saw The Stud Bolts take a close victory over The Knights and an impressive 3rd place showing by Kihei O'Hana.

Pretty much everybody is back in competition after last night's event in Woodbridge- which showcased a startling win by Kihei O'Hana, who captured their first DCPI show victory over some high-quality competition and the two Buckeye Brass corps cleaning up in Open Class and Class A, respectively.

Today's events:

The event hosts in Tacoma were hoping for a larger turnout at tonight's event at Mt. Tahoma HS. This event is expected to be on next season's calendar as well, so hopefully they get some more corps to come west.

The popular CLASS championships at WKU Stadium in Bowling Green KY will be without their host corps as the Nastalgia group is MIA this season, but the lineup still promises to be entertaining and competitive.

Overseas, the European tour moves to Colchester Stadium in southeast England, as a baker's dozen corps take to the pitch.

Scores from last night are up. Apologies for the delay, and special congrats to Midnight Vanguard, West Virginia Sound and Cape Cod Regiment for taking home first place in their divisions at the CLASS championships!

Just two events tonight, one foreign and one domestic. In England, the last British show of the season takes place at Emirates Stadium, home of Arsenal:

And back in the states, there'll be plenty of hot chocolate to go with the elephant ears as corps take on the mountain that is J. Birney Crum Stadium in Allentown PA

Happy February, everyone! Today marks the last day of unlimited caption changes, as the first point increase of the season (as well as caption limits) will be implemented tomorrow.

Today's events:

The Philadelphia event, taking place at PPL Park, is the big turnout winner for today, with more than 20 corps in attendance.

As a result, turnout for the other two competitions, including the newly-expanded Hancock Stadium in Normal IL and Roosevelt HS in Honolulu HI, is quite low. This also marks a break for the west coast tour, which has hardly been worth discussing so far this season as very few shows have had more than a few corps in attendance. Hopefully when that tour picks back up there will be more interest.

Scores for the first event of February are up. Circle City Sound pulled out a surprising victory over The Knights in Philadelphia and spoiled a potential division sweep for the Fasteners Org. corps, who won the other two divisions. In Honolulu, Fleur de Lis managed to avoid the jet lag of flying all the way back from England to take victory there, and in Normal, it was Chicago Sound overcoming Mountain Magic to take home the top prize.

Tomorrow is the first day that caption change limits will be activated, and directors will only be able to make 3 changes per week going forward for the rest of the regular season. The first bonus point will also go into effect. Look for these changes to occur around 1 PM CST. Be aware that the system WILL record any changes you make prior to 1 PM and will count them against your limit once the limit is turned on, so if you were hoping to do a large change prior to the lock time and then make an adjustment later in the week, the system will force you to wait. I've had a few directors have problems with this in the past so I want to give everybody an early heads-up.

We also have a rare slate of events this Sunday. In a special Groundhog Day event, Punxsatawney PA's tiny local high school will be hosting a sizeable field of corps. And I'm told that if the director of The Stud Bolts sees his shadow, we're in for 6 more weeks of fantasy corps

Meanwhile, smaller events are also scheduled at Wheaton Warrenville South HS in Wheaton IL (a last minute replacement for the event scheduled in Lisle) and at the new McCracken County HS in Paducah KY.

In Europe, the Euro tour moves over to the continent with an event at the cozy Valby Idraetspark Stadium in Copenhagen Denmark. You've got to feel a bit sorry for the members of Fleur de Lis, who practically got off a plane from London in Honolulu, and then got right back on another plane to fly back to this show. It's impressive that they can remain competitive through all these time zone changes. Their director must be getting one heck of a frequent flyer bonus.

Just kidding! Here's what's really going on today. Just two tiny events for the post-Super Bowl day. The event scheduled for Vernon Hills IL has been moved to Warren Township HS in Gurnee IL while the second event of the day takes place at Greenbrier HS on the north side of Nashville TN,

After some smaller events yesterday, today marks two larger events.

In Europe, Halle's Erdgas Sportpark will feature no fewer than 6 event winners in World Class, so this should definitely be a competitive event!

Back in the US, the Roselle Park Conquistadors try to make up ground after a late start to the season. They'll have to overcome The Knights, Buckeye Brass, the Stud Bolts and several other top-flight corps at Baldwin HS in Pittsburgh PA to get back in the game.

Disappointing end to our Euro Tour as all 3 corps saw drops in scores all week, 2 points since Copenhagen. Reason? German beer?

Heading back to the States now. Looking forward to next show on US soil in Newark, DE on Saturday night. We see our old friends CLASS and the Roselle Park Conquistadors.
