Tone Quality Matters
what defines the second tier? seems like last season there are tiers, groups. A gulf of separation between groups of corps at different performance/execution levels at this point. Last summer, you could see a clear separation of execution/ quality from corps 1-3, 4-6, 7-8, and 10-12. Tonight, there was a distinct separation from Crown to Phantom. Of course the corps in these groups change often early in the season Edited June 28, 2014 by Tone Quality Matters

IllianaLancerContra
Dumb question: Before 3 valve horns, did they make 2 valve flugelhorns? Yes - valve rotor as well as 2-piston

It's always amusing when people get all huffy and defensive about their own team, but... can't.... help........ myself.............. 1 Carolina Crown 98.300 2 Blue Devils 98.050 3 The Cadets 96.950 4 Santa Clara Vanguard 96.850 5 Bluecoats 93.350

Of course the corps in these groups change often early in the season Because just picking random points. Cadets were 2 points ahead of crown the same time crown was 2 points ahead of PR. So with the tier thats saying Crown is second tier to Cadets? Or tonight for instance BS were 2 points better than Troopers but are said to be in the same tier so why cant PR 2.8 points behind be in the same tier as Crown? IMO there are no tiers early season. When you hit regional weekend then you see the drift of who is where.
