We lost one

Recommended Posts

Thank you all for your silent posts, and words of sympathy, for the Troopers family. As I've said in the Facebook threads about this tragic event: many of the younger alumni of the Troopers are hurting like h***. losing a corps mate is always hard, but losing them so soon after marching just feels so senseless. I just want to hug them all and tell them that their love for Jonathan will be felt eternally.

Jon and his family are being laid to rest today (11AM, fittingly enough) in Texas. Lots of corps members and alumni across the country wearing jackets and sabers in his honor today. One fellow alumni got the permission of his parents to sing the corps song at his graveside following the funeral service.
