DCA Corps in Need of a Snare Drummer

Recommended Posts

Hey everybody,

I'm interested in marching this summer and I'm wondering if any drumline out there needs a snare drummer. I don't have a whole lot of money, but I work for a company that may be able to transfer me to any major metro area in the U.S., so that issue might be solvable. And here's some footage of me playing, for the sake of reference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=osckj56nKTg

Thanks in advance for any help here.

There is always room for drummers in all DCA CORPS, it were you want to go that would make you happy to be at,

at lease give a location as to where you would like to go, or how far you would go. I can tell you where to go, but bottom

line is still up to you in a audition that get you in or not. Better hurry time is running out.

Thanks for the pointers, Ray. I would love to move to a city near a particular corps, in hopes that they'd find room for me, but I'm not sure that'd be a smart move. I'd really prefer to find a corps that has a need and then move. I don't expect anyone to accommodate me just for my sake.

Cheers!

This listed in another thread:

The Kilties brass & percussion sections just completed their final indoor camp of the 2015 season this past weekend.

The full weekend camp was highly successful and productive.

The corps will venture outdoors on April 25th/26th to begin learning the visual aspect of the 2015 production.

A few select positions are presently open:

* One snare and/or bass drum *

* One synthesizer position (and/or mallet keyboard) *

* One mallet keyboard (and/or synthesizer) *

* One baritone *

* Two color guard *

For those interested in applying and/or seeking additional information and would like materials sent, simply complete and remit one of the two forms on the corps' website:

Thanks for all of the private messages, everybody. I'm talking with a corps now that I'm excited about. If things don't work out with them, I think I'll just opt out of marching for yet another summer. Hope you guys all have an awesome year!

Update:

Does anybody have any contact information for Alliance, down in Atlanta? I'm not seeing any on the internet.

Thanks!

And here are two more videos of me playing. They're not meant to be audition videos in any way. I'm not demonstrating fundamentals. I'm not doing any marching. They're must videos of me having fun with drumsticks. But I hope they pique someone's interest somewhere. I'm really wanting to see if I can get involved with the Buccaneers, MBI, Alliance, Atlanta CV or possibly the Hurricanes. Having a heck of a time getting a hold of any of them, though.
