Playing...adequately in Plainwell

Recommended Posts

Figured I'd start this since no one else had...and since someone else used the "playing well" bit for last year's thread.

Show lineup (in reverse order):

Legends - Kalamazoo, MI
Crossmen - San Antonio, TX
Madison Scouts - Madison, WI
Colts - Dubuque, IA
Spirit of Atlanta - Atlanta, GA

Schedule:

5:00 p.m. Box Office Opens
5:00 p.m. Gates Open
7:00 p.m. Show Begins

So, assuming 17 minute slots, no intermission, and 10 minutes at the top for national anthem and such:

7:10 - Spirit of Atlanta

7:27 - Colts

7:44 - Madison Scouts

8:01 - Crossmen

8:18 - Legends

Scores at...some point? I have no clue where most people get their info for these.

Things to watch:

  • How does SOA look in their first show? Back in the Colts/XMen/Troop mix, or below, as they ended last year?
  • How do Colts look in their first show? Does the storytelling this year work as well as last year's concept?
  • Does Madison start to work the kinks out in their show?
  • Can XMen make up some of the gap with Madison from last night?

Any info on judges, etc. would be appreciated.

RAMBLE ON!!!

Have Spirit confirmed they will make it?

They are there. I haven't heard otherwise.

Spirits equipment trucks arrived this morning. They didn't rehearse with horns/flags/percussion yesterday and as you know didn't perform in Louisville. They are back in the game now.

Out of the loop here. Why wouldn't they make it?

They had an issue with their fleet that kept them from making it to Louisville yesterday.

To clarify: the corps itself made it. Their equipment (horns, flags, drums, pit, food, etc.) did not.

Trucks are reported in Michigan already, so they should be good to go.
