I used to judge bands he worked with many years ago...he always put out a quality percussion section. He's doing a nice job as band director at Monroe HS in Central NJ, turning around a pretty lame band program and moving it into the 21st century. victorcoly
It's nice to see quality people like Griffin on DCI's judging roster! He's a welcome edition along aide the likes of Jeff Prosperie, Glen Fugett, and Charlie Poole, Jr. (yes...I'm paying Charlie a compliment!! Don't faint!) Now if DCI could only make John Wooten and Mark Thurston regulars on the roster, and "put out to pasture" Allen Kristensen and Chuck King!! :ramd:
Snapettes Mom
Wow?! That was pretty low. Allen and Chuck are pretty darn good. Mom
schleic8
Allen and Chuck are WAY better than your average judge. Just because they don't run out there and hand high drums to the line with the cleanest snares doesn't mean they don't know what they're doing. In fact, I'd take Kristansen and King over most drum judges. They get it about right every time out. Jim
