84BDsop
Right after they form the crown set near the end of the show, the crowd yells something. What was it? Sounds like "bring it home," but it's not clear on my vid,
drumcorpsfever
Funny, I saw it live and never caught that. Rach Star is one of my all time favorites. I'm sure someone will know what was cheered. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_YrlKGGgoA Edited March 8, 2016 by drumcorpsfever
Overhype
They yell "FREEBIRD!," the Lynyrd Skynyrd song they start playing right afterwards. Then they make a wing formation. Edited March 8, 2016 by Overhype

Ok....THAT makes sense, given the old joke about the song. Thanks!
drumcorpsfever
By the way, while we're on the subject of the 2011 Crown show, Rach Star's pre show ranks up there with the best of all time: http://youtu.be/cWiq_C153og

Clearly (IMHO) even DCI judges could quite get past that. That said .... it didn't really matter because the performers just LOVED performing this show every single night.

I remember defending that show all summer and getting ripped to shreds for it. I accumulated so many red marks that summer, haha.

DrumManTx
Definitely a show I look back on with more pleasure each time I see it again. I think visually it was a little vanilla for me design and color scheme wise, but every thing else was top notch. Heck, I even liked the drum book. That the last year Lee Beddis was there before he went to Madison? Edited March 9, 2016 by DrumManTx
