Rocketman
This is not a 'did they or didn't they' post, and I will be the first to admit that they were completely hosed on the score sheets Saturday night. However, as I was watching the DVD, I didn't notice any holes! IN 89 with SCV, that was noticeable. So, I was just wondering how this was able to happen? Perhaps they just did a real good job of masking it.
Northern Thunder
I don't think they marched any holes at Denver, since they were discovered to be overage two weeks earlier, at Whitewater, WI. I don't recall seeing any holes at prelims in Bouler or at finals in Denver.
cixelsyd
From what I remember, the "overage" people only marched earlier in the season, prior to turning 22, and the Bridgemen never intended to field them in Colorado.
Northern Thunder
I've always thought that DCI really took advantage of (screwed!) the Bridgemen in '77. Despite the fact that they determined they had overage personnel at Whitewater, they "allowed" them to continue on the DCI tour, appearing in 6 shows (Bridgemen won 5 of those 6) to Denver. Bridgemen were easily one of the top 3 draws on the field that season, and without them, the shows they appeared in on the way to Denver would have presented lineups that were not nearly as appealing to fans.
