Before anybody inevitably jumps in here and says "Bluecoats this, Bluecoats that," just know that ensembles have been playing around with this setup in WGI for years. Great Lakes Percussion way back in 2007 was probably the first big successful attempt at this type of setup. Quite frankly, this type of setup makes perfect sense if you have about 6-7 mallet players given amplification, and especially given that the Cadets need to reduce membership somewhere for the singers they're bringing in.
