Cadets were something like 20 points behind the top corps there... 27th Lancers and Madison Scouts, I think. But there was something about the Cadets' show... and we had heard about the offseason troubles, so we knew why you all were off to a slow start... the show had that "man, if they really clean this up, look out" feel to it. I was a Cadets fan back then, and I was really glad to see you guys in Finals on the TV broadcast. All that work paid off! Yes we were a mess but were so happy to suddenly have a corps. Funny many of us remained for the next few seasons. We would look back and shake our heads at how close we were to just falling apart. Ironically the feeling of accomplishment was as great in 1980 as it was moving up the competitive chain. Tobias
I wish they'd play Tiger of San Pedro again as an encore. I LOVED when they did in 2015 especially with that glorious brass line. Loved when Crossmen did it in 1979-80. Guardsmen did it the same two years. Edited March 11, 2017 by Tobias

xandandl
While the Shako of Silence is a snow Cone during the bliizzard hitting the East Coast, those still counting snowflakes might find this of interest as I did. But realize it's only coincidence, not hints or any information. http://www.ctpost.com/entertainment/article/Bridgeport-orchestra-celebrates-Bernstein-at-10993344.php Just in, GH's webinar on 3/15 will be from Chez Shanefield with design team.
