Hook'emCavies
I think they made real progress, wouldn't be bad news if they stayed IMO. Was pretty impressed live. I agree. I am mostly curious if they give most of the staff cantracts.
littlejaw
I am curious as to what they will do with the horn line staff. With the return of Mike Martin, the brass team should return. As much as he is an arranger, he definitely has his guys on he brass staff.
CaviesFan17
Really happy for the design staff coming back, good for the Cavies. Top 3, here we come.
Tobias
I posted this in another thread but it fits here too.. I think The Cavaliers will be back just as strong and even better next season. The design team brought something risky and fresh to the table this year and it paid off big time. Only about 1/4 of the corps aged out and I think they will have a ton of guys coming to auditions. I can't imagine any teenage band geeks seeing them perform this summer and NOT thinking how great it would be to be out on the field as a member. As far as placement who knows? Just glad there is so much excitement around the boys from Rosemont again. Great year for Cavies and momentum certainly positive going into 2017.
ripchops
I was very happy to see their staff get renewed for the 2017 season and beyond. This will certainly keep them in the top five, maybe even have them receive a medal come August 12th?

I have a feeling next year's battle to be in the top 3 will be exciting. I know a lot of drum corps take a dip every now and then (some more permanent than others), but when Cavies took theirs...it hurt. I'm not a big Cavies honk but I'm rooting for them. A lot of us are. Go Cavies Go!

littlejaw
But what about free-agency and future draft picks? As long as you don't bring up transfer policies then we are good.
