Also Sprach Zarathustra from Strauss?  Pretty big space association with it obviously.

I  gave a subtle hint on this yesterday here on DCP with my quip posted above of... " I'll sprach your back, if you'll sprach mine ".. lol!

I'm betting the opener could include Fanfare For The Common Man and/or Also Sprach Zarathustra. Could even be a mix of the two...

Could be... Juxtaposition, Justanopinion....

If I had to guess what the Laurie Anderson song was that they're using, I'd guess O Superman.

I think Big Science would work as well. The lyrics are very fitting.

I went back and took a look at Laurie Anderson's history; those were on the top of my list, along with anything referencing Red.

I'm stoked with everything I've heard so far.

Fly me to the moon

And let me play among the stars

Let me see what spring is like on Jupiter and MARS.

Wouldn't see a problem if Wine Dark Sea was used again either, IMO it fell flat with the Cadets.

I wouldn't be surprised to see it...  ...also a "red" sea may work with Mars imagery.

Some predictions based on the show announcement:

The John Mackey piece will be "Xerxes," which IMO pairs really well with the Ghosts of Mars theme.

The Max Richter piece will be "Lost in Space" from Last Days of Mars, which could transition into "The Sun's Gone Dim and the Sky's Turned Black" by Johann Johannsson.

The Laurie Anderson piece will be "O Superman," which could be mashed up with "Mars" by Holst.
