I think he is the best arranger out there. As much as people raved about Bocook, I always felt Mike really was the arranger to get the goosebumps going. Hoping Shanefield at Cadets respects the "sounds" of the corps but can bring some new excitement.

He creates wonderful drum corps moments but at the same time so thoroughly respects the original composer's work.

I thought Crown had a Pride of Cincinnati connection? I'm not up on my WGI guard stuff.

Some other staff from Paramount also on Crown's staff. Joey Powell (caption head) is director at James Bowie in Texas. Some other staff from Bowie also on Crown's staff. tl;dr #TeamIndy swapped out for #TeamTexas and #TeamAtlanta :-)

Good kids. Crownies march there too. And I'm sure there will be even more Mounties marching Crown this season. Seems like another good season in store. Scored an 83 at the ATL Regional this weekend.

It's funny but we tend to be more competitive than the kids sometimes. Between WGI programs and drumcorps, they all know one another.. I was at a local show in 2015 and went to the Cadet buses after to drop off care packages to kids I sponsor, their were so many Crown kids at the Cadet buses I thought I was at the Crown buses. Good they all pal around.

Marchers, staffs, judges all tend to know one another, get along well ( for the most part ) and wish each other well out of the intense competition arena. Many of their travels outside of WGI/DCI take them into mutual collaborative endeavors in the Academic world in the future, and many help each other network there in furtherance of their mutual professional careers.
