Bluecoats 2017 thread - Go Blooooooo!

From Bloo sources, re: speaker malfunction last night...

"Concerning tonight's mic/speaker issues...our audio trailer had a breakdown on the 8 hour trip from Newark to housing sight in Maryland...in fact they went on to show sight in Chester, PA arriving just before the start of the show.  The crew did NOT have any time to dry things out from last night's rainout or do a complete equipment check...just the regular speaker check before the show started.

There were several nasty pops/static VERY noticable to the spectators and....judges.  They've figured out it was caused by a wet mic or wet cable connection.  It will get FIXED.

If you've ever wondered if the judges take these problems into consideration when putting down the numbers...let's just say they heard it...every time.

Disappointed that the Bloo fans in Chester didn't get the optimum effect of "Jagged Line"...Look for GREAT performances tonight in Allentown, Sunday in Buffalo and MONDAY IN MASSILLON!!!"

Unless everything is wet from a rainout prior...right?

And with that issue were only 0.325 behind Crown, good sign heading into Allentown.

Did percussion have a bad run? Thought for sure Prosperie would have scored them higher.

Prosperie is a GREAT judge...he too heard the snaps, crackles, pops....he will hear Bloo again TONIGHT and I feel he'll have a much better environment and fewer "electronic distractions" to interfere with his read and assessment of the section.

More than "great", Prosperie is THE judge. If he gave us 4th, then we deserved 4th. My only comment is that he was in the box, and in the box certain exposed gimmicks are more easily read than more subtle nuance that can only be read on the field.

Fair enough, figured the electronics issue hurt them from the box. When he is on the field, it should be different.

9th snare confirmed out for remainder of season. Suffered tear to triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC).

This show has probably put down more incredible athletes than many I can remember. Props to the corps for making it look easy.

Sad. Figured after he wasn't back for NightBEAT this would be the case. Just too much time out of the drill/choreography and playing in the line.

Maybe he can shoot fireworks or confetti poppers out of the stage???
