There has been far louder crowd response -- 08 Regiment when they won -- but I have never heard the sustained applause Academy got all year long. Hell, they got a huge response just entering the stadium for retreat! I would go with Madison 2011 during Empire State of Mind personally. 08 Phantom as far as the volume, though I agree with. Loudest, longest sustained audience response at DCI Championships still might be the 27th Lancers Reunion Corps exhibition performance in 1994. The fact the performance was in Massachusetts that '94 DCI Championships season ( Foxboro, Ma ) helped with that a bit... but certainly not entirely, imo. That performance that night may have planted a bug in the minds of other corps alumni to consider putting their own tribute performance together.

I have no doubt that it did, which is great. Seeing 27th again, and seeing other alumni groups, WIN-WIN!
31rabbit
on the topic of most intense applause, don't forget the end of Madison 97. the crowd went berserk when the DM whipped out that camera.
