Cadevilina Crown
Jacksonville's EverBank Field and Columbia's Williams-Brice Stadium are two other good options for DCI to move the regional... Except that they are also both non-turf.
chasgroh
Atlanta CV...saw this show on the Atlanta DCI feed and was wowed...all the ingredients for a successful and entertaining drum corps show. Guard is special as is the hornline...overall a program with no glaring weakness...good for them!

cage
I asked a director of a finalist corps about this before Allentown and they do have a deal for the new stadium and the rent is much higher. Never asked about a backup plan if the stadium is not ready.
Chief Guns
Is there a reason why they can't use the dome in New Orleans?
CrownBariDad
Is there a reason why they can't use the dome in New Orleans? Just throwing this out there: logistics. After San Antonio, the Corps head east. It would seem the long way around to then go south for the regional and then the long trip to Allentown. There would have to be a major reorganization of the tour.

phantombob
Georgia Tech all the way. If they can manage to park and accommodate 55,000 fans for football games surely they can handle 16,000 for a drum corps show. It's unlikely the new Falcon's stadium will be ready in time-- and DCI shouldn't take the chance.

Correct, but like the Oil Can that was ready and the Colts had some lame excuse, I believe, not to let DCI use it first, Joseph A. might want his Falcons to get first crack. It's a little more involved than just "swapping". But, I agree with your idea of switching the sites.
