I had a good seat at Prelims, and was impressed with several of the teams.

My vote goes to Erie Thunderbirds.

From "Man... they have a long way to go" in 2015 to "Wow... these guys are pretty #### solid" in '16.

So... overall (and obviously for Class A): Thunderbirds.

Open Class: Bushwackers. 12th place last year... solidly back in finals this year.

Mathematically, by comparing scores to the rest of the field for both years (e.g., by calculating the difference of the average of the scores above and below each corps), the top five gains would be Erie Thunderbirds, Cincinnati Tradition, Chops Inc., Sunrisers, and Cadets2, I think. But in terms of change in placement, Bushwackers did best, right?

Pretty sure that's correct. It was a very good summer for Bush. Much better show this year.
