I've seen winter sketches and spring prototypes for DCI corps a lot over the years. Every single one eventually ended up better in final rendition. My first impression was "well, those are bad... but not the worst thing I've ever seen." Then you stare at them for 15, 30, 60 seconds, and a barrage of "wait, what?" hammers your brain as you keep noticing... things. The sad thing is that you can look at the uniforms and get the idea of what the design staff was attempting to do with them.
