It is interesting the dichotomy that is here between hyper detailed uniforms and nearly blank canvases. Personally, I think the blank canvas way is much more like the old school 2-toned uniforms with a jacket and pants. Consider that if you had a press box snapshot of the Bluecoats 2016/2017 and one of the white uniform era of Phantom (or Star)... You would have essentially the same visual clarity. From a static viewing, I'm not sold on it (I think it's too busy/cluttered and the gradient shading on the overlay makes it look a bit like one of those padded muscle costumes) but I give them credit for being easily recognizable as Phantom and I'll be rooting for them as I do every year. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
