Any updates on Racine Scouts?

Recommended Posts

I read somewhere last fall that Racine Scouts were pairing up with a college in Iowa where they were hoping to pick up staff and members, I think similar to what Spirit did with JSU a few years back. Racine Scouts are still not listed on DCI website as an open class corps, and the Racine Scouts website lists a schedule of shows they are performing in including Whitewater tomorrow night, but DCI schedule with times listed for the show tomorrow doesn't list them in the lineup. Has anyone heard anything on what their situation is? The phone number listed on their facebook page says they are not accepting calls at this time.

They seem to be involved with the Mid-America Competing Band Directors Association (MACBDA), which holds marching band competitions in the Midwest.

Shadow Drum & Bugle Corps was a member of the MACBDA when they were still a marching band.

Racine has already appeared in some parades and done some exhibitions, which they will continue through the summer.

Glad to hear they have been performing. Any idea how many members they ended up with this year? And do you have any info on why they don't seem to be appearing in shows they have listed on their website? Best of luck to them this summer.
