X-men props what are they?????

Ok all you Crossmen people.  What are those black cheese slicer props????  Don't get it and how does that fit into this show?

I thought that middle portion of the show was a metaphor for birth, making those props.... Ya know...

Most of the source music is Keith Emerson's piano concerto (ELP).  BD did it in 85.  Still don't know what those props have to do with the show.  I think it looks like a cluttered mess to me.

Yep, they sure do elicit much speculation, are perplexing, baffling, mysterious and cryptic, sort of defies explanation and cannot be really understood.
