Well, now that a judge can score out to 0.05 in any caption it's highly unlikely there would ever be a tie. But my understanding is if there were it is whomever wins the most sub captions wins. Not sure how I missed that one. As much as I don't like ties (except for maybe 12th place at semi-finals), I think a tie is better than what amounts to almost a "flip of the coin" in deciding the winner.
