kevingamin
Nice spread on the field to finish the first movement. 21 percussion, 19 brass, 5 guard, and 1 DM. This may the first time I've heard Rite of Spring and Eye of the Tiger mashed together. kevingamin
A few stray drops of rain as Impulse moves into their third movement, the love theme from Spartacus, played by a solo baritone. Even here, the percussion is involved. Tenors are playing a light rhythm while marching around the soloist.

kevingamin
Guard now on swing flags as the full horn line and drum line comes in. After the impact of the ballad, the baritone soloist plays facing forward while a trumpet soloist echos him facing backfield.
kevingamin
Frenetic playing from the pit opens the closing movement of the show. Snares show their stuff up front. Horns now playing Ritual Fire Dance, led by a trumpet soloist.
kevingamin
Nice crab stepping from the baritones as they come across the field. I admit I like that look better than a slide.
kevingamin
Six tubas up front laying down a 6/8 bass line for the rest of the corps to sit on.
kevingamin
Bass feature before the horns return to begin the final push to the end. Tempo goes up and there's the classic stabs leading into the end of the piece.
