N.E. Brigand
I see that in the nine days since the Open Class tour started in Cape Girardeau, the scores for Guardians went up by 6.850, which is more improvement than any other corps from that show except Legends, who improved by 6.888. N.E. Brigand
And remember, the Prelims order is supposed to be based on the average of the two highest scores earned at . . . . . . well, I'm not quite sure. Someone posted recently that it would be the two highest scores earned at selected shows, but in the past two years, it's been the two highest scores earned at any show on the Open Class final tour (which I take to have started this year at Cape Girardeau on July 26). But either way, it looks like Guardians do OK. I'll post the details to the rankings thread in a few minutes.

cmchandler
Just now, N.E. Brigand said: It was based on all Open Class shows from July 26 through August 5. The directors received a notice this morning that Aug. 4 scores were thrown out for consideration because half of the slate didn't receive scores because of the rainout in Sheffield. So it's the two highest out of the date range above except Aug. 4.

The order is the same as I had calculated using the Aug. 4 scores.
