Those GE #2 judges disagreed on both The Cavaliers and the Troopers.  Hmmmm, I respect J. Kennedy more than the other guy.

Amazing how they could be close with everything else except these two corps.

EDIT: ALL OF THE FOLLOWING IS INCORRECT, BUT I'M NOT DELETING IT SINCE OTHERS HAVE ALREADY QUOTED IT.

IT TURNS OUT THE RECAP MISMATCHES THE VISUAL AND MUSIC JUDGES.

SEE snare_guy_83's post at the bottom of page 150 for better information.

I'm in a theater with a very heavy BAC supporting crowd, and they just showed their appreciation for SCV, probably more than any other corps aside from Madison. They looked #### good in the theaters.

Mine too. SCV was phenomenal tonite. My theatre loved them. Their visuals are off the charts good. BD had to be extra good in these Quarters, as SCV was about to catch them. But to BD's credit, they rose to the occasion and demonstrated why they are undefeated so far this season.

Just home from the theater.

Some thoughts:  I don't know if it was the theater's surround sound or the feed but the EQ was WAYYYY off.  Sub-woofers rattled the floor and dominated brasslines, esp. when synth had a heavy role in the bottom end.  It really affected some of the performances.  Like Mandarins for example.  Sound of Silence is one of my favorite ballads this year and it was all but drown out by overblown base.   When interviews were happening, all I could hear was the audience.  In spite of all of that, I had a fabulous time.

The corps that blew me out of my chair was.... the Cadets.  I absolutely fell in love with their show tonight.

That was my next post exactly! I actually tried to contact one of the broadcast staff that I know and relayed the very same feedback. The imbalance of amplified sections versus the brass on the field was so great, that most of the brass sounded very muddy and many nuances such as your example of the Mandarins' Sound of Silence! I hope that someone can relay this to the broadcast team. I checked with our theater's management and they said it was the mix in the broadcast.

I love this Cadets show. Maybe its because I'm Catholic, but it has brought tears into my eyes since day 1.

I felt The Cadets performed well tonight.  The changes to the choir robes and positioning was nice and the show looked really good, but I can't tell if any corps brass,  percussion, or guard is off.

Such a great ending. Great job BAC.

I noticed a small amount of "smoke" coming out of a couple of other props.  Glad the staff crawled under the main prop to fix something before their show started.
