Someone posted here that after the judges didn't give them any credit for live singing in previous years, Colts decided it was better to go prerecorded. I agree that all prerecorded singing should be banned. (That would include the Rihanna sample in BD's show.) Or to go even further... I don't mind live voice at all, although many, possibly most, examples of amplified voice in drum corps have been artistically unsuccessful, in my opinion. If so, I am impressed...but unfortunately they sound too similar each performance. Cavaliers having taped solos in "Run boy run" and their ballad last year (the full ensemble) have made me skeptical about the whole vocal thing. It needs to be live for me to enjoy it. Yes, they are both singing.

If you want to sing in your show, give a singer a contract and let them perform.

Saturday night in Allentown the Cadets singer that opens the show must have got the wrong pitch or something and she started 1/2 step low. She corrected as soon as the brass came in. I would love a little impromptu, "hmmmmmmm"-ing type vocalizing to just show us that yep, this is live. Is there some insepid reason you are a non-believer?...I've personally witnessed when she 's had mic problems...clearly hear her adjusting her mic while still continuing...give it a rest dude
