About all I can remember is that awful narration and how it ruined the show for me, including that horn line. What a shame. It didn't totally ruin my experience, but I agree... an awesome horn line that year, great music, top-notch performance, but the narration.... yikes. Oh well... it was the days of "corps experimenting with new toys." LOL. And not just the Cadets, by any means. "Hey... look what we can do with all this newfangled electronics stuff!!!" Most brasslines do sound good standing still. Sheesh. The borgs live. Not hypersensitive to his comments, I expected a similar reaction. If he's not interested in updates about the Cadets then maybe he should avoid the Cadets thread. Some of us are actually interested in news about how the corps is doing. And, "Most brasslines do sound good standing still" completely misses the point regarding my observations from camp this past weekend. And from a technical standpoint, you can identify better than average brass lines even when they are standing still. 1

It was great when after the mm said, "alright, let's do something with no voice", the crowd, not quite as loud as a "vanguard" yell, gave a cheer.

FTNK
I just hope the 2018 Cadets are able to form a shape of achievement and become athletes of God.

Great? No. Not great. Not great at all. The selfish, childish, boorish behaviour of fans in the Rose Bowl was a worse offense than any for which the Cadets were accused. Those kids performed as well as any corps - that year or another - and they deserved better from adults. The jeers and the boos put the stands as low as the Cadets were high.
