Shewhois
Husband emailed reporter for clarification - Penn's decision was made immediately after the story broke. The only thing "new" about this news is that is was in a story today. We both believe the writing was misleading - presented as if even after all the Cadets have done to move forward it is not a good enough start. I've been impressed with her writing up until now. This just seems like a "gotta keep the story alive" article that could actually do the work the Cadets are trying to do to move forward legitimate harm. 1

Seems like with some the story went beyond the issue. Mixed feelings here...obviously Edited May 2, 2018 by GUARDLING

It can provide proper context, among other things. I still think Penn did what they felt they needed to do regarding this situation, and I have no problem with their decision. 1

I would imagine they will test one or two ideas at the new camp and then take it from there, designing between then and spring training the corps design team has a deep arsenal of “at the ready” components they could easily drop in and use just Drew the arranger can draw from vast BOA work, perhaps his wonderful arrangements for Reagan TX this past fall, I loved that show - it could easily be ported over to this idiom imo I know this is still kinda off topic (sorry) but I thought about your post again because, this morning, the producer of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade made an in-person invitation to the band to participate in the 2019 parade and specifically mentioned their show from this past fall as being a big part of that decision. I think Mr Shanefield’s work is pretty amazing and am really glad they were able to have him arrange their music. Hopefully the Cadets can hang on to him for some time as well. 1

cube
Can someone clarify to me how show design will be handled this year? Did they already have a full show in place? I saw parts of the announcement were withdrawn, so I'm not sure if the actual theme is staying the same, or what.
