Did anyone happen to catch any new rep from those Instagram videos?

Rep? What's that?

Repertoire, music. They are replacing Sound of Silence with something they haven't announced yet. People at my school usually just call it rep for short

Anyone recognize any of the music?

I know the vocal ensemble is singing Frank Ticheli's "Earth Song" (you may recognize it from SCV 2016). Not sure whether that's part of the show, though.

I think the brass is playing the same arrangement of O Holy Name from before.

This is a little O.T.

I know the Cadets have a tradition of always walking in pairs.

One of my friends asked if I knew why.

I don't.

Does anyone know how that started or why its done ?

Maybe it dates back to the days of the Holy Name Cadets and their Catholic identity. Nuns always walked in pairs, if Holy Name had a school, maybe this was passed down to them by the Good Sisters.

Not my Aunt Franny, aka Sister Mary Beatrice.  She was from Dorchester (Neponset Ave.) and was tough.

I wonder if the kids in the corps also learned how to whack students with a ruler or toss an eraser at misbehaving kids like the nuns did.

We had a nun in my NJ grammar school... pinpoint accuracy with that #### eraser.  LOL. She could have pitched in the major leagues.

There is a reason I avoid nuns unless absolutely necessary. Seriously.
