Fran Haring
1976 Garfield Cadets. To the day I die, I'll never figure how they didn't... LOL. 2014 Colts, "Dark Side of the Rainbow." Great stuff. 2001 Spirit, "Ghost Train." On my short list of best non-finalist shows. My votes would go to 1991 Spirit 2013 Troopers Z

They won Percussion in Prelims, but they failed to make Finals. What would be the chances a DCI Corps could win.... say Guard.... in Prelims these days, but fail to make Finals ? I know, Slim and None..., and Slim just left town.... haha! The older I get, the higher they place! In a couple of years, I will put them in the 1977 finals!

Tim K
1978 Garfield Cadets was already mentioned and I'd add Boston Crusaders too (don't say Kilties to anyone who marched with either corps that year). 1981 North Star (I thought it was stronger than 1980) 1985 27th Lancers. 1994 Boston Crusaders. Could you imagine the response of the folks in Foxboro that year if BAC made finals for the first time and the evening ended with 27th "Once More in 94"? 2011 and 2015 Academy 2013 Troopers
Cadevilina Crown
Definitely Mandarins 2017. Madison was the better-executing corps, but I liked the Mandarins' show much more. I knew at Semifinals that it was going to be a tough result to swallow either way. Also, I keep coming back to the 13th-16th place corps from 2015 (Troopers, Colts, Academy, and SCVC). Probably my favorite year of corps on the Finals bubble. I liked all four of those shows MUCH more than the Crossmen's show that year (which, IMO, was executed better but was quite boring for the most part).
