Pioneer Brass Caption Head discusses 2018 brass program

2017: 9 trumpets, 8 mellos, 6 baritones, 5 tubas...28 Total

2018: 12 trumpets, 10 mellos, 12 baritones, 10 tubas...44 total (still looking for 2 trumpets and two baritones)

12 Tubas means that there should be NO (zip zero nada) thunderous goo from the 'artificial push-button pseudo-music noise maker in the pit'

Or you could give Pio props for making a commitment to fielding a larger brass section.

Wow! Nice! Was it two or three years ago that Pioneer was notably larger than in other recent years?

2015 was probably the biggest they had been in the last 10 years. We'll be just a bit bigger than that corps, which we are thrilled about. While bigger does not necessarily mean better, it means more students get to experience drum corps. We're excited for you to see and hear the difference!
