Skyliners Drum & Bugle Corps Announces New Field Corps Management

Recommended Posts

March 22, 2018.   The Board of Directors of the New York Skyliners. Inc., announces the retirement of Larry Carbonell, Director of The Skyliners Drum & Bugle Corps, effective immediately.  On behalf of the Board and the entire organization, we want to thank Larry and his wife, Stephanie for their hard work and dedication over the last 5 years.  During their tenure, they brought The Skyliners back to life and out onto the field of DCA competition starting with the 2014 season.  There is no question that The Skyliners would not be where they are today without the Carbonells’ tireless efforts on behalf of the corps.

We are pleased to announce that Jeff Crawford is taking over the Directorship and Business Manager positions at this time. Jeff has been on The Skyliner staff since the return of the corps in 2014, serving as Visual Caption Head for the last two seasons.  The Board is confident that Jeff has all the passion and ability needed to lead The Skyliners forward, and we are all confident that the next chapter in our story will be exciting and rewarding for everyone.  Jeff wrote, “I am truly honored and excited to have the opportunity to continue what Larry and Stephanie Carbonell have started.”

Joshua Delanuez has been named a new Assistant Director, Recruiting Events Coordinator.  He joins Assistant Directors Robert Fizette, Construction Support and Doreen Sandor, Publicity and Corps Historian; and Jim and Suzanne Shea, Personnel Managers, on the Administration.  Additional announcements will be made as needed.

Earlier this month, The Board of Directors elected Jim Shea, a Lifetime Member of The Skyliners, to fill the vacant Board position previously held by long-time Skyliner Ray Peters.  Congratulations to Jim on this new role.
