I won'g go so far as to say Cadets are done or YEA are done. Hopkins no doubt is done with the Cadets and YEA IMHO. No way can the organization let him stay on.

YEA and The Cadets have to get out on front of this and be aggressive. Start with firing Hopkins and appointing a independent counsel to investigate everyone top to bottom within the organization and let the chips fall where they may. Gaining the parents and public trust in the organization starting NOW will depend on the long term survival of the organization. Its going to take some short term hits. If the investigation finds that the allegations are unfounded and or that No one at YEA or The Cadets were aware of the allegations then as they say..the show can go on.

They’ve had at least 3 months to get out in front of this.

That they’ve done nothing is not a good sign for YEA.

Why hadn't the board had a special meeting to oust him?

Why hasn't he resigned?

Both of these items could have and should have happened at this point.

...Or Allentown Police Department opening a case.  These are criminal allegations.

It's also apparently involving multiple jurisdictions in which the statute of limitations may have paused.

We’ve seen countless instance of BoD doing their jobs poorly through history. How many corps have folded because of poor BoD oversight?

The scary thing is Hop was and is the Cadets and YEA. He put countless hours into keeping them and USSBA afloat. Is anyone willing and able to keep it all going if he vanishes? It will take at least 2-3 people full time to replace what he is and was for that organization.

As someone who manages people in a corporate environment, the biggest disservice Hop has done for the organization is fail to train his replacement.

Personally I think Cadets2 will suffer first and foremost at this. I will be surprised if they are even able to field this summer. Staff Issues and recruiting will be the issue here. The Cadets can probably weather the storm till this sorts itself out.

Good question. A lot of this will just have to be a wait and see what happens in terms of the various reactions and responses.

He let a great replacement go to Blue Devils.
