Kids can get exposed to this anywhere. Ive seen no less than 6 local band directors/ assistant band directors brought up on child rape charges in the last 10 years. So that one time at band camp??? Yeah it could happen anywhere. Yep. For instance, the high school marching band that placed third in Bands of America's Grand Nationals in 2016 had just seen its director let go earlier that year when it was revealed there'd been an incident at a school where he previously taught. Lance
The YEA BOD needs to be dissolved immediately. That is a horrific response to a deeply sourced piece of investigative journalism. 6

Saw that....makes a lot of sense to finally have a CEO (Sean for now) of YEA and a separate Cadet director (Tom, theoretically). Two good choices, IMO.

Whether you understand it or not, it's a mitigating statement you're making. And furthermore, nowadays, "mere" sexual harassment will often get you fired. fireshane1
As long as the BOD is still in place, Hopkins could very well still be running things from behind the scenes, even though he has “resigned.” There needs to be a completely new BOD that isn’t in his back pocket..... $.02 2
