Not bad for a bunch of high schoolers that have never marched in this activity right? I wasn't joking when I said they're aggressive. :) The average age of this year's group if I heard correctly ranges between 16-18. Even though it's a short piece, it sounds very good.

Not all of it sounds like this, but their hit moments do indeed have this same drive and energy. At times you can hear the youth in the sound (manly in the quieter sections), but compared to the last few years this has been the best I've seen and heard this corp. It's early, but this is a great start. They have their preview performance tonight so I'm sure videos will be posted. I attended two of their evening practices and it was hard to believe they had been practicing all day in 98 degree heat because they had so much energy left.

In their second week it was over 100.. not to mention since they rehearse on turf that adds another 10 degrees.

Sometimes I wonder why they don't do move ins somewhere else just to escape the heat. Gotta make move ins miserable with days over 100 repeatedly. I feel like I'm living in some topsy-turvy world right now. If this is what they sound like on a 25 second clip, I think Crown may have just met their match. I'm freaking blown away.
