Was unaware the same judges adjudicating the Detroit premier would also be in my fair city (Clovis) the next evening. As we are the best  West Coast "Premier" show venue yearly I am surprised I did not know this!?! Is this new? Did they fly commercial? Transporter??

Not only is it way too early..it is dumb IMO...For decades the ONLY real meaningful comparison has been

head to head same show only

I don’t really agree that rankings aren’t meaningful from different shows. Just using the Brass numbers, SCV might have the highest score but we can’t say they have the best hornline right now because we have no idea if they would have beaten the Bluecoats if they went head to head. But we can say that those two corps, as well as BD and Crown, are in the same league when it comes to brass right now. The Cavaliers and Boston are in a tier below those corps.

Judges will scores corps close to their tier 9 times out of 10. The Colts won’t come on and get a 14.3 in brass I guarantee. It’s going to be somewhere around a 12 if they are closer to the tier they’ve been in the last few years.

Just depends on how you use the rankings really to see how meaningful the data is

Same judges doing the same caption over two nights is at least as interesting as.....Allentown.
