It is generally a hasty generalization from one prop is dangerous to all props are dangerous.

Not all staff members are dangerous but background checks are a good thing. I think all props should be scrutinized

In this case, the hasty generalization would be "some staff members are dangerous" to "all staff members are dangerous".  Which is not true and I don't think you believe it.

This move is what you did above with respect to props.  From "One prop is dangerous" to "All props are dangerous".

More acceptable would be something like you did here.  From "One prop is dangerous" to "We should examine all props for danger."

My wife and I only saw Crown at the theater show.

Hopefully will see them tonight in Clifton.

We couldn't figure out the "purpose" of the teeter totter.

Could someone please explain what its purpose/symbolism is .

See it described and illustrated:

I believe I read the recent emphasis on MM safety also extends to performance on the field. I'm sure DCI is watching all use of props (hopefully to include tarps) and will step in if they see something amiss. We really don't know anything about safety conversations between DCI and Corps that may (or may not) have already taken place this season. Have you heard differently?

Anybody have any prop pictures they could add to the thread? I've only been to one show, so I don't know what most of them look like.

Isn't it supposed to be a sacrificial alter to the beast to make it come to life or something?

Already answered. Sorry.
