BariSaege
Just came back from Hameln. Starriders won the German Open and the 2nd DCG Contest of the season. 2nd became Woelper Loewen 3rd Fidele Vogelsanger. Further placements, scores and Recaps & Fotos will follow after a nip of sleep. In 3 weeks the corps meet again for the DCG Championship in Gevelsberg. It seems for a very close race between the Starriders, the defending DCG Champs and the Woelper Loewen. The place where the Madison Scouts performed in 1988 and the Blue Devils in 2000. 10 Corps where on the starting line that night and it was fun to watch and hear each of them. What in improvement in the overall quality of the corps. The level grow and hopefully more Corps participate in the DCG Cirucuit the next years. It seems that the titel will be taken by the defending champion or the winner of the first contest this year the Woelper Loewen. Starriders won all Visual and Effect Captions. Woelper Loewen won Best Brass, Percussion and Ensemble. So both corps has a lot to do for the next 3 weeks till finals. Very impressive was the Starriders guard witch scored in the 90s with a distance of 8 points to the next guard. The hard work with Ian Kirk from England and Melanie Schiebler (Crossmen Guard 2003) starts to pay off.
