Dead Corps Trivia

Recommended Posts

Here are my guesses (with above help on 2 and 4).

1. What was the year with the highest number of corps in DCI finals that are currently no longer competing in any form?

1972 and 73 both had 8 corps no longer with us

2. What is the highest placement in DCI finals for a corps that is currently not competing? What was year and corps name? Second highest?

1st place (72 Kingsmen and 91 Star). 2nd place (80 27, 93 Star)

3. What was the latest year that the number of corps in DCI finals currently not competing was greater than 4?

1983 (27, Bridgemen, Freelancers, Sky Ryders, and Suncoast)

4. What was the latest year that saw any corps in DCI finals that are currently not competing?

1993 Star

5. True or false: there were several years between 1972 (DCI started) and the year in question 4 where all the corps in DCI finals are still competing.

False, there are no years before 93 when all corps are still competing.

Go Stu.

4. 1993 Star of Indiana

I had an oops too, I meant you should add Sky Ryders to 1983, not 27th.

When I first saw this discussion title all I could think of was Dr. Demento's song "Dead Puppies"

Dead puppies

Dead puppies

Dead puppies aren't much fun

They don't come when you call

They don't chase squirrels at all

Dead puppies aren't much fun

My puppy died late last fall

He's still rotting in the hall

Dead puppies aren't much fun

Mom says puppy's days are through

She's gonna throw him in the stew

Dead puppies aren't much fun

Dead puppies

Dead puppies

Dead puppies aren't much fun

Dead puppies

Dead puppies

Dead puppies aren't much fun

Dead puppies

Dead puppies
