VHornBoy
I wasn't there, but I heard '92 SCV Bottledance was just insane! Wish I was there :(
84BDsop
1984 Blue Devils was the loudest thing I've ever heard - the victory concert at Lansdale, PA.1987 SCV was the loudest corps I ever taught. 2002 Renegades? I remember that show...we were SOOO hyped because we'd finally beaten Garfield! I remember spinning my sop up before trailing it down to march into the arc, and then just letting it fly! *sigh* I would happily trade, however, that one win over Garfield for one about a week or so later. I honestly have to say the 2002 Cadets - my gosh I couldn't believe how loud BUT IN TUNE they were this early. lowbrasswhole
I think I am gonna have to add in my AMEN on the Cadets 2002. I was in Winston Salem, and I was blown away. Rocky Point Holiday, in the stand still was so dang loud, my ears popped, and rang all the way home. It certainly was the loudest brass ensemble sound I have ever witnessed in person. Go Cadets! jlhiatt
If intonation weren't a factor we'd all be saying "Madison." Their horn line last year was loud. Was it in tune? Um, no. Was there lots of phasing? Um, yes. Cadets: Loud + Clean= :D "Louder is gooder." --Jerry Luckhardt, University of Minnesota Bands
