I am always looking for drum corps memorabilia concerning Southern California Drum and Bugle Corps circa 1960-1971, especially the 1967 Anaheim Kingsmen, the 1971 Lynwood Diplomats and early Lakewood Ambassadors for an ongoing historical project. I have seen most of what there is, but there HAS to be more out there.....such as "action" pictures of the 67 Kingsmen, recordings of same pre-1967 AL State, and "action" pics of the 71 Diplomats.

Thanks and you can Email me:  ronhousley@hotmail.com

Thanks for looking out for me, homeboy, but I'm the one who sent that recording to Munson.  I got it from my old friend Charlie Groh about a year ago, hadn't heard the stuff since 1971.  Hope that you got a chance to listen to it as well.  The arrangements were done by (in order):

OTL: "HTWWW" (D. Angelica)

Color pre: "Columbia" (arr. unknown)

Into concert: "Evil Ways" (R. Housley - hey, that's me!)

Concert: "JC Superstar" (D. Angelica) -sop solo Jimmy Crosby

Out of Concert: "L'Chaim [To Life]" (R. Housley)

Exit - "Fire And Rain" (D. Angelica)

Final Fanfare: "Superstar/Don't Know How To Love Him" (Housley) - final double high C by now-pro trumpet Wayne Bergeron, then a 14 year old kid!

Percussion by Willie Polacek and Benny Hermasillio

Drill by the late Stanley (then Randy) Knaub.

Horns by Ron Housley (Bob Bunce on this recording only: credit where credit is due if unearned, it was still MY hornline!).

Thanks again for looking out for old recording for me, bro. I owes ya!
