I'm sorry if this poll has been done in the past, and I hope that I didn't miss any variations. :grrr: I'm actually asking about competitive DCA/Seniors.

I'm only putting that because I'm not sure if there are senior corps that do not or cannot partake in DCA, but are still competitive, if there is such a thing. (?)

I did not put divisions as I believe drum corps is drum corps, however if you'd like to add what division, that may make it more interesting... :)

I'm just trying to get a feel for the backgrounds of the members of competitive DCA/Senior Corps members.

Thanks very much!! My hats are off to all of you!

I only did jr corps (because my high school and college did not have marching bands). I took some time off to do "grown up" stuff and am now in a sr corps and having great time.

Always a senior, never a junior. I played trumpet in elementary school and junior high (middle school), but my high school did not have a music program, nor did the college that I attended. There were no junior corps in the home town area, and traveling to one was out of the question, so seniors were the only option. I have managed to march seniors 16 of the past 38 summers during my travels around the country pursuing a career, and my only regret is that it wasn't more.

My signature tells of my junior corps experience. I did jr high and high school bands, marched all four years in high as tuba section leader, three years in college (two different schools), and now I am in my first year of senior corps. I took 10 years off between marching corps to start a family and join the military. :)
