Fran Haring
Jeff, don't get me started in this thread - you know I was a Sunriser, don't you? :P <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What Chris said! In all my years in drum corps, I have never heard a corps-song repertoire that can match that of the Sunrisers. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your point of view!!!), a lot of the Sun stuff is either: 1) definitely not for the faint of heart, or: 2) highly self-incriminating. ^0^ Then there were the songs we made up about fellow members of our own corps. Many of them were even more brutal than the ones about other corps. B) Fran
JimF-LowBari
Hymn.....hymn............#### HIM!!!!!!!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How could I forget that one..... :P 1975 DCA, my buddy and I couldn't find where the rest of the corps was sitting backfield. Then I hear a woman start flipping out and say.. "Did you hear that?? That group said: Hip Hip HOORAY.... Hip Hip HOORAY... Hip Hip (word for manure)!!!". Alright Westshores over that way.... "Salvation Army, Salvation Army... Put a Nickle in the drum and you'll help a drunken bum Salvation Army, Salvation Army... Put a nickle in the drum and you'll be saved"
Jeff Zehner
Wow, talk about a non-starter thread to test all existsing and yet-to-be implemented word-filters What would spew forth from my mouth (think keyboard) would make a crocodile blush and send an orge back to the bowels of Hades for fear arriving in a place far worse than he started. The Buccaneers have no such songs. ^0^

Jeff Ream
ok...ok.....since no one else will take shots, i'll take one at my team. to the tune of God Bless America....the mid 80's members of the corps were juuuuusssssttttttttt a little mad at Hershman and Co when they left after 83...and created a song. back story to fill in some places. the corps rehearsed on City Island...an island between Harrisburg and the West Shore on the Susquehanna River. the corps equipment had just been sold to the Calfiornia Dons, and Larry joined Bluecoats staff. City Island then had also been rocked by a scandal which saw state legislators going to the Island at lunch for hookups w/teenage boys. (yes this is true) God Bless the Island, land that i loved we were ####### psyched...Larry took a hike he sold the horns to buy some kiddie porn he sold the flags to some ####### fags he sold the drums to make a #### corps ### he sold the corps flag to buy his mom a rag he slit our throats....he's with the Bluecoats up the ### we were screwed once again! from the stadium, to the parking lot, til the gay kids came around..( big buildup) God Bless The Island land that I loved God Bless the Island....land that I loved
GutAttack
I have not located the Reading songbook yet. It's stashed somewhere with all my other stuff. We made a new one in '96 and sang all the time. I think there's one for everybody in that book. I'll keep looking and see what I can dig up. ^0^
